The sensation of being close to Kaaba is a different level of peace.

The Kaaba is indeed a small shrine that can be found close to the heart of the Great Mosque in Mecca.

At the height of 50 feet, the cube-shaped structure has a 35 by a 40-foot base. The corners are aligned roughly with the compass points using marble and gray stone.

The word “cube” in Arabic refers to the structure known as the Kaaba, a square building wrapped in a veil made of silk and cotton.

In Islam, people pray five times a day, but they don’t pray to Jerusalem. Instead, they pray to Mecca and the Kaaba. The Qur’an says where people should face when they pray.

Only three pillars support the roof, and the only interior features are a gold lamp and silver.

The kiswah is an enormous black brocade cloth covering the Kaaba.

Most people visiting this place explain that no words can describe the feeling of getting close to it.

The level of peace and calm that you can achieve is extraordinary.
